Ultrasound take 2

It's a girl! We got a nice clear shot this time, though she was still trying to hide for a while at first. No wonder I don't look huge yet, she is tucked WAY deep in there.

Now the fun begins as I get to start over with girly stuff! I have tons of plan in my head, now I just need to find the time (and money) to finish everything in the next 14 weeks! I can't believe that is really all I have left. And if she is anything like her brother Noah I only have about 12 weeks left. Throw in Thanksgiving, Christmas and New years and I am going to be scrambling!

Not too many great pictures this time, the tech seemed to be in a hurry since we were her last appointment. I do have some shots of her feet though that I'll try and get scanned sometime soon.

It's a...

stubborn little baby.

We had our big 20 week ultrasound last week, and could not have been more excited to find out if we were having a boy or a girl. Nathan was even so convinced that the baby is a girl that he told me he was going to go and ask the dr to tell him it was a baby girl lol

Unfortunately this little baby is quite a bit more shy than his/her brothers were. We sat there for maybe 20 minutes with the tech trying to get the baby to move, but he/she insisted on falling asleep with his/her legs crossed.  Needless to say we were not too excited about that!

Fortunately for us, since this baby decided to be so difficult, they couldn't get all of the measurements they needed and we have another ultrasound scheduled for 24 weeks. But the wait is just killing me!

A Big Train Party! (a story by Nathan)

Mom: Tell me about your party Nathan

Nathan: My big train party mom

M: Yes, your big train party

N:I had a big train party, there were lots of presents, mom and daddy got me a Toy Story bike (it wasn't Toy Story, but he thinks it is). It was at Aunt Lorrie's house.

M:What kind of presents did you get?

N:I got a big train, and I played with it at Aunt Lorrie's house and said "Choo choo!" I got a camera and I took lots of pictures.

M: Did you take a picture of Aunt Nina?

N: Yes.

And that appears to be all he wants to say about the party, 3 year olds have very a short attention span

And now, some pictures from his "Big Train Party"
The rest were taken by Nathan (or with a little help) using his new camera!

Cinnamon Bread

I love to bake, I mean LOVE to bake, far more than cooking (which I also love), so when I saw this recipe, I knew it's what I had to make today
http://thepioneerwoman.com/cooking/2010/08/homemade-cinnamon-bread/

The only sad part about baking is that it is an all day process, especially with 2 little boys who really really want to help! So it's all mixed together and rising for the first time right now, I'll update with some pics of it's progress throughout the day if I can ever find my camera. Nathan has been on a picture taking spree lately, and I can't remember where I put it after the last time I took it away from him. hmmm

Zoo day! (and why I am terrible about taking pictures)

Yesterday we went to the zoo! I packed my camera in my bag with all sorts of good thoughts about taking pictures of the boys and the good time they were going to have. Nathan standing by the giraffes (which are his favorite), and maybe Noah pointing at some doggies (all animals are either doggies, fishies, if they swim, and newly added ducks). And at the end of the day how many pictures did I take...0.

I started thinking about how I used to take TONS of pictures, I had albums filled of Nathan sitting doing nothing, and Noah laying on the ground while Nathan kissed him. Looking at when the picture taking stopped the answer became obvious, it's hard to hold two hands and take a picture of them at the same time!

Since Noah started walking they have been quite the adventurous little boys, which I love! I just wish I had the skill to keep them in the same spot together long enough to pull out the camera and snap a picture before one was off in a completely different direction. I think Anthony has now won the new role of picture taker. I wonder how he will take the news.

It was a wonderful day though, my first *big* trip with the boys by myself all day long. There were other moms there of course, but the kids far outnumbered the adults and we survived! There were a few minor meltdowns when Nathan didn't understand why he had to hold my hand with other kids running around everywhere, but other than that they were great!

A new bee

I wanted a place where I could freely post about our everyday life without clogging up the knitting posts for those who were only interested in that. So here's the newest part of my blog, stories about the boys, our faith, and our daily life all rolled into one.

To start off, I would like to introduce you to the newest little Mion...the tiny bee! Nathan couldn't say baby when Noah was first born as at 13 months he was not talking a whole lot yet, so he called him bee and the nickname stuck.

Here is the tiny one at my 13 week ultrasound
My due date is February 14th, but since both boys were early, and I've had some issues with breaking my tailbone in the past, it's looking like this baby will make it's appearance sometime around the 1st of February! It's hard to believe that in less than 6 months we will have a new little baby when I still don't even look like I'm pregnant yet!

I'm looking forward to this new blogging adventure, and being able to share some more thoughts, and not just knitting!

Coming soon...

Some fun posts about our life and family!
